Brief History: Lisa Cuddy graduated second in her class from medical school and began her career immediately after. She rose to prominence as one of the youngest to ever achieve the title of Dean of Medicine at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital and dedicated her life not only to the practice of medicine but to the doctors now under her direction. Her past relationship with Gregory House is rumored to have influenced why she has not fired him despite the numerous ways he has put both Cuddy and the hospital's integrity on the line, yet she remains noncommittal about anything being a factor other than House's medical skills. Cuddy has been attempting to become pregnant via invitro treatments but has had no success, and has kept this matter a secret from everyone with the exceptions of House and Wilson.
